SPEAK Test Dates

Although the SPEAK is administered each semester at UIUC, all new prospective ITAs are encouraged to take the TSE or the TOEFL iBT before arriving on campus.

Summer 2009 SPEAK Test

1st Time Takers ONLY: June 18 & June 19
Retakes ONLY: July 2
Test Location: Lobby next to G-8 FLB

NOTE: Registration for the Summer SPEAK is currently being accepted. Departments register their graduate students for this test; individual students cannot register themselves.


Fall 2009 SPEAK Test

1st Time Takers ONLY: Week of September 21th
Retakes ONLY: Week of October 26th
Test Location: Lobby next to G-8 FLB
