Valeri Werpetinski has moved from CTE to the College of Engineering to manage the service-learning course, Learning in Community. Valeri maintains the LINC website as well as the Engaged Illinois blog For more information on scholarship of engagement news, resources, opportunities, and requests for proposals, as well as for the opportunities provided through the LINC course, check out these two sites.

Exporing Service-Learning: Teaching for Good

Hear from a panel of instructors who have developed service learning courses for various disciplines including architecture, business, engineering, kinesiology and community health, library science, and media. Learn about everything from finding community partners to structuring your course, Ask questions and brainstorm about ideas for your own service learning course!

Service-Learning Showcase
Tues., April 30, 5:00 - 6:30 p.m., Illini Union Rooms B & C
At the end of Spring 2013 semester, LINC project teams will present posters at this public event on campus. A campus-wide "Call for Posters" will be distributed during spring semester to encourage other service-learning instructors, students, and partners to share their work alongside LINC projects in the Service-Learning Showcase. Come to network and learn about new opportunities to get involved in service-learning projects that strengthen communities and foster civic responsibility.
